Croatian sketch book

I have just spent an amazing week relaxing on the Istrian coast in Croatia near the town of Rovinj. A lot of my time was spent reading, laying in the sun, swimming in the sea and eating... but did manage to break out the sketch book a bit - here are some of the pages (took a lot of photos as well, and will do a more detailed post with a selection of them once I have gone through them all).

Life drawing again

I went to a new life drawing group tonight. Unlike last time this is not a taught class but a group of artists in Twyford (Berkshire) that meet once a week to spend a few hours practicing their drawing skills.

It was really good to get back to some "proper" drawing again.

Life drawing

These were drawn using the Lamy Scribble pencil, sent to me to trial by the lovely people at thepencompany.com - these pencils are not only a very attractive piece of design but the shape means they are very comfy to hold and have a nice weight to them. I will post a full review to soon, but have been using them for a couple of weeks, to draw, sketch make notes and have been really impressed.
